How to Get There?
Australian domestic airlines Virgin Blue and Jetstar have daily direct and connecting flights to Whitsunday Coast Airport Proserpine. From the airport you can hire a car or catch a shuttle to Proserpine or Airlie Beach. Qantas operates daily flights to Hamilton Island Airport, which is a 30-minute ferry ride to the mainland. Flying time is approximately 1.5 hours north of Brisbane, 2 hours north of Sydney, 3 hours north of Melbourne and 1.5 hours south of Cairns. Direct services operate from Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne with domestic and international connections via Brisbane, Sydney and Cairns airports. The Bruce Highway is the gate to the Whitsunday's, which covers the East coast of Queensland from Cairns to Brisbane. Driving time from Brisbane is approximately 12 hours north to Dingo Beach and 8 hours south from Cairns.
